Let's Chat: Travel

Hey ya’ll! So today I wanted to start a new weekly feature on LL where we can discuss all kinds of different topics. Seriously, the skies the limit here people! If you ever think of something you’d like to see discussed, just leave it in the comments and I’ll add it to my ever growing list. I really wanted to start this feature for two reasons: 1. I always seem to have a million questions or internal conversations going on in my head that I’d love to actually get outta there and 2. I love hearing what other people’s views are on things!

24 Hours in San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio, Texas

One of my favorite parts about living in Texas is how many awesome day trips you can take no matter where you’re located at in the state. It always seems like you’re just a short car ride away from a new adventure. So keeping that in mind, we decided to take an overnight trip to San Antonio not too long ago and had SUCH a good time. Given our super hectic schedules lately (wedding planning is hard yall!), it was nice to just get outta town and relax a little even for one night. Below are some of the highlights from our time!

Wine Wednesdays:Provencal

Becker Vineyards

Clearly, I have a thing for Becker Vineyards. Whenever I go grocery shopping I always love browsing the wine selections even if I’m not planning on grabbing any during that trip. This time around, I saw this bottle of rosé from Becker and immediately snatched it up and I’m so glad I did! It’s not quite as dry as other rosé’s out there, but not overly sweet like this previous pick and perfect for lounging at the pool with all summer.

Price Range: Under $10

Enchanted Rock

Enchanted Rock

This past weekend some friends and I made the trip out to Enchanted Rock. I was really excited as it’s been on my to-do list for quite a while now and I’m honestly surprised I haven’t made the trip out there sooner! We got up bright and early Saturday morning and made our way out into the beautiful hill country. If you’re ever considering doing Enchanted Rock, I highly suggest doing this because when we were leaving the park around 11, there was a line forming all the way out the gate and down the road. Kings Hardware

Seattle, WA

If you saw my Seattle post last week, then you probably noticed the Kings Hardware mention under our recommendations, so I wanted to share a few more words on this place. In short, I LOVED it. First and foremost, I’m burger person through and through. If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life, sign me up for a burger and fries please! And Kings had a terrific selection of burgers to choose from. They also had a great beer selection to choose from, which can you even eat a burger without a beer?

Overall, Kings Hardware was a terrific introduction to the city of Seattle and I’m so glad we got to make a stop in here on our first day! I would gladly make 100 more stops in if only it weren’t a 4 hour plane ride away.

Seattle, WA

Chris and I made an extended getaway to Seattle this past weekend and I’m SO glad we ended up doing it! After getting shut down on a trip to New Orleans (Jazzfest had everything completely booked), we made a spontaneous decision to head to Seattle instead as flights and Airbnb’s in the area were super reasonable.
