Epcot was the first park we visited on this trip! We had tickets to the Candlelight Processional for that evening, so we spent an entire day wandering around Epcot taking in the sights and sounds. While we didn't make it to every country (doesn't that mean I have to go back...like now?) we were able to see quite a few plus many rides and attractions. Miss my first post on the Wilderness Lodge? Check it out here!
We got a pretty late start this morning as we were all a little tired from the traveling the day before and knew we would be there allll day. We arrived in the park around 10:30 am and upon arrival spotted Pluto handing out hugs and pictures so we stopped to snap a few! Pluto was the first official character we met on our Christmas vacation and he was just darling. My sister hadn't quite warmed up to the characters yet, but by our third Pluto sighting of the trip she was a meet and greet pro! After our encounter, we quickly headed over to Sunshine Season for an early lunch. I probably could of eaten at Sunshine Seasons a few more times honestly. They had a great variety and selection of food and the desserts weren't too shabby either!
After eating, we rode Living with the Land, which my earth conscious sister LOVED, then headed out to utilize the fast passes we had made before the trip. We made two back to back trips to Mars on Mission Space (one orange and one green), designed our own cars at Test Track (Sarah and I won!), and hang-glided over the country at Soarin. After that, we headed into the countries to browse shops, watch the Christmas shows, and enjoy the atmosphere. We made it through about half the counties before our dinner reservation at the Biergarten in the Germany pavilion. My grandmother chose this place for dinner as it was a package deal with the Processional following it and we all enjoyed this buffet style meal very much!
After dinner, we headed over to grab seats for the Candlelight Processional, which was a great experience in itself! While this is a separate ticket event (I believe the ticket only guarantees you a seat, but don't hold me to that), I do think you can still watch it from the sidewalk if you wish! We ended our night with Illuminations (my favorite fireworks show at WDW), then slowly made our way out of the park for the day.
