Dress (similar)(similar) // Jacket (similar)(similar) // Hat

I've never been one to get too excited over birthdays. And it's not just mine, it's kind of the holiday in general. So, for this birthday the only thing I really wanted to do was get out of town. Now, typically Chris and I travel quite frequently but it's generally in the same paths. There's always a meditated reason for the outing (family, concert, etc.) and while that sure is a lot of fun, I really just wanted to get the hell out of town with no particular plan attached to it.

So we're headed out to West Texas for the weekend. Alpine to be exact. I'm really excited to just relax, take in the scenery and do some exploring. One of my favorite things is driving across Texas and with this particular drive, you get to see and experience so much. While some (most) might not consider this the best way to spend their 25th birthday, to me there is nothing more perfect.

When I'm riding/driving in the car, I love to wear layers and this black dress + utility jacket combo is perfect for this. Throw on a hat and a pair of sunglasses and I just might rock this outfit the whole weekend. No, but really.
