Micklethwait Craft Meats

Micklethwait Craft Meats

The statement I'm fixing to make is a big one for a Texan: my favorite bbq in Austin and quite possibly all of Texas is Micklethwait Craft Meats. And I do not say this lightly. Micklethwait is located right down the road from Franklins and appears to be in another world. I love their ever changing menu including a sausage of the day (everything from duck, to lamb, to pork) as well as their staple menu items. Their lines are significantly shorter (about a 10 minute wait) and they are also byob in case you want to stop at a corner store and grab a 6 pack on the way. Since being absent on most weekends in Austin, Chris and I took the opportunity this past weekend to venture over and grab way too much food. If you ever find yourself in Austin needing the best of the best in bbq, then I highly suggest checking out this eastside gem!
