New Orleans Part Two
Happy Friday ya'll! I feel like this week has just drug on and on. Maybe it's because this week is sandwiched between to two short weeks. Or maybe it's because I'm excited to head down to the coast this weekend. Or maybe all of the above. Anyway, here's my second and last installment of my New Orleans trip! You can find part one HERE.
In case you can't tell from these pictures and the last ones, I love the architecture of the French Quarter. My absolute favorite part of the trip was getting up early and exploring the streets with no destination in mind. Which if you're traveling with me is crucial seeing as how this is my fourth time to visit New Orleans and I still don't know what streets Royal or Decatur cross with. This leaves you with plenty of opportunities to discover things you might otherwise of missed, like that hidden alley or a courtyard tucked away under greenery.
While food is pretty high up on my travel itinerary in every city, second on that list would have to be drinks. I love a good drink menu and New Orleans is definitely not short on them. Some of the best included: French 75s at Napoleon House and the Carousel Bar at Hotel Monteleone, peach sangria at Chartres House and the strawberry daiquiri from Organic Banana at the French Market. My only drink regret is not tracking down the illusive frozen French 75, that I hear is pretty damn amazing. So now that I've found my excuse to return, please let me leave you with these pictures while I plan my next getaway.
