Spiced Rum Daiquiri

Spiced Rum Daiquiri

Basically I'm a sucker for any cocktail containing citrus. I LOVE the bite that it instantly adds, which is why things like margaritas and palomas are pretty high on my to-drink list and they now have a third wheel: the daiquiri.

The daiquiri is a classic staple everyone should know how to make and it really doesn't get any easier than making this drink, let me tell you. When I received this bottle of rum from Blue Chair Bay last week, I instantly knew what I wanted to do with it. Plus, Chris's parents have the worlds most producing lime tree in their backyard so we have an over abundance of fresh limes at the moment. Between the bite of the lime juice and the sweetness of the coconut, if you close your eyes it's almost like you're on the beach. And trust me it's pretty darn easy to imagine around here as the weather in Texas is still reaching 90 degrees these days!

Spiced Rum Daiquiri

  • 1 oz Spiced Rum (I used one from Blue Chair)
  • 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 3 oz Fresh Lime Juice

Directions: Put ice in shaker and combine all ingredients. Give it a good shake and strain into a glass. Enjoy!
