I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend! Though Christmas truly holds the number one spot in my heart, Thanksgiving is running a close second as I love the laid back vibes it always brings along with it. I say this of course because I'm not the one cooking, so my mother may have a few different opinions on the holiday haha!
We enjoyed our huge feast at home like always. My mom is a fantastic cook and somehow manages each year to get all of her million sides plus the turkey done at the same time. How she's able to do that, I'll never know. The rest of the weekend was spent preparing for the upcoming Christmas season.
The Harbor Playhouse in Corpus Christi puts on a production of A Christmas Carol each year and for years now my family and I have been saying how much we want to go. Well, we finally bit the bullet and went over the weekend and I'm so glad we did! The production was amazing and I can't wait to continue this newfound tradition on in the future. We also went Christmas tree shopping, watched my little sister perform at Barnes and Noble to promote the Nutcracker and topped it off with a night of decorating the tree and sipping French 75s.
How was your Thanksgiving weekend?
