The Year of the Cookbook

The Year of the Cookbook

As I stated last year in my 2015 resolutions post, I'm not a huge resolution setter. But I feel like you already knew that seeing as how every blog post on the internet currently has stated that too. ;) Nonetheless, I do enjoy setting a few goals for myself for the year and doing my very best to keep them up. Last year it was to travel to 3 specific places (Nashville, New Orleans and Big Bend) and I managed to knock 2 out of 3 out! So in 2016, I'm officially dubbing this the year of the cookbook.

To explain, Chris and I have a problem. We LOVE buying books, we're somewhat hoarders in that aspect. If you could see the piles we have going around our tiny one bedroom apartment, you might shudder a bit. More specific though, we have a huge addition to buying cookbooks. Which is totally fine, if you know, you actually used them once in a while.

I could probably count the number of times I've actually used a cookbook on one hand. Which is really sad because there are some fantastic recipes hidden within them! So this year, I'm made a promise to myself and to Chris that we will actually USE them. Like really use them, not just pile them up beautifully on bookcases use them. I've already started tabbing off things I can't wait to try out and I'm super excited to get started!

What's your New Years resolution?
