Music Chris Has Been Spinning: January

It turns out I haven't done a post on music in quite a while. Since August to be exact, BUT what it also turns out is that I haven't been listening to anything all that exciting lately. Which is kind of a bummer, but it's the beginning of the year with plenty of opportunity to rectify that! So, I asked Chris to pick out a few albums he's been listening to this past month and this is what he's come up with.

Chris is a musician himself, you can check out his music here, and is always bursting with music recommendations for me or anyone else that will listen to him. And he's usually pretty spot on with them.

Dawes All Your Favorite Bands

Dawes - All Your Favorite Bands: Chris listened to this album religiously when it came out. And last night he told me he thought it was the best album of 2015 and I can totally see why someone would think that because this record is just plain awesome. Recommend: Things Happen & I Can't Think About it Now

Middle Brother Vinyl

Middle Brother - Self Titled: Keeping with the Dawes theme is this album which is a musical come together of the lead singers from Dawes, Deer Tick and Delta Spirit. This album will really pull on your heart strings if you let it. Recommend: Daydreaming & Wilderness

Tammy Wynette Vinyl

Tammy Wynette - The First Lady: Tammy is one of the greatest country artists of all time and for good reason. No one has a voice quite like that lady and it shines greatly on this lesser known album. Recommend: The whole thing.

Ray Price Vinyl

Ray Price - For the Good Times: In my eyes, this man needs no introduction because his voice says it all. What is it about older country artists that make them so stand alone in their sound? Whatever it is, I need more please. Recommend: Crazy Arms & Help Me Make it Through the Night.
